The Demonic Tapes (2017)  4 walkman cassette horns out of 8.      A man in a London flat discovers tapes in his house. The tapes are recordings of a medium and the former occupant… and a demon that we think needs to quit smoking (just listen to that voice!).    The more the man listens, the deeper and more creepy the audio tapes get.  VioletHör gives it 2.5 horns out of 4, kept you guessing throughout (is the man alive? is he the demon? is he just unlucky to spend Christmas alone?).  Kevin131 gives it 1.5 out of 4.    There is no reason this movie should work, it’s just a guy listening to tapes… yet it does hold your interest for some reason.  Unfortunately it doesn’t pack a huge punch and the ending is a bit ambiguous.   Keep your analog tapes to yourself Satan.
